Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials

Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials is a narrative-driven metroidvania game with RPG elements and plenty of humor. Developed by Unspeakable Pixels, this game is available on Nintendo Switch and offers over 20 hours of evolving gameplay, 10+ bosses, and 400+ rooms to explore.

The game follows a barbarian who finds themselves in an abyss filled with monsters, traps, and eldritch secrets. Fortunately, they are accompanied by a bat named Pip who possesses elemental powers. The game requires players to solve puzzles, fight off monsters, and work together with their companion to progress through the abyss.

The game features a level-up minigame, multiple endings based on player choices, and companions that can join the player in their quest. In addition, there are plenty of secrets and hidden loot throughout the game. The (magic) bat has a whopping FIVE different squeaking sounds, and the game contains more fruit throwing than probably any other game. Overall, Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials is a fun and entertaining game that is sure to keep players engaged for hours.
